East Hampshire District Council runs its local crisis help as the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF). It is a grant — not a loan: help with essentials, nothing to repay. This is a summary; East Hampshire’s own page (linked below) is the authority and the current position.

What East Hampshire’s scheme covers

What you get: Paid mostly as Post Office/PayPoint vouchers
Who qualifies: Hampshire resident with low income/means-tested benefit and savings under £6,000

You will need: Proof of crisis, e.g. a repair quote, redundancy letter or bill
Government allocation: £102,094 for 2026-27

East Hampshire District Council is one of 11 district councils in Hampshire. In a two-tier area the county council runs crisis payments and the district runs the housing side of the fund — rent shortfalls, a deposit, rent in advance. Hampshire County Council was allocated £11,035,376 for 2026-27; East Hampshire District Council was allocated £102,094 of its own. If what you need is help with food or energy rather than rent, start with the Hampshire scheme.

What East Hampshire itself says

What you get. “Most payments will be made in the form of vouchers that can be exchanged for cash at the Post Office or PayPoint vouchers”
Who qualifies. “Limited access to savings (less than £6,000)”
How to apply. “residents should contact their local Citizens Advice service who administer CRF payments on behalf of Hampshire County Council”
You will need. “Proof of crisis – for example quote for repairs of white goods, letter of redundancy, bill for car repairs”
