Warwickshire County Council runs its local crisis help as the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF). It is a grant — not a loan: help with essentials, nothing to repay. This is a summary; Warwickshire’s own page (linked below) is the authority and the current position.

What Warwickshire’s scheme covers

Covers: Emergency help for a sudden financial shock — food, energy and utilities, household essentials, transport, and digital connectivity where critical for safety or work; plus financial-resilience services
Status: Active and accepting applications (confirmed 10 September 2026)
Funding period: 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029
Who qualifies: Must live in Warwickshire (or be forces personnel with a strong connection), be aged 16+ and live independently

You will need: Applicant must provide their National Insurance number as part of the evidence required
Not covered: Cannot give ongoing/long-term support, replace income, cover routine living costs, fund non-essential spending, or routinely clear old debts
Government allocation: £5,910,784 for 2026-27

In Warwickshire the county council runs crisis payments, but your district or borough council runs the housing side of the fund — rent shortfalls, a deposit, rent in advance. Each has its own rules, its own application route and its own government allocation.
